» Do you believe this about the grammys...?
I think the Grammys are nothing more than some gigantic promotional machine for the music industry. They cater to a low intellect and they feed the masses. They don't honor the arts or the artist for what he created. It's the music business celebrating itself. That's basically what it's all about......this is about the 8 grammy nominations of a certain "artist"Yep... I recently read that for ALL the award shows, including the Grammys, ratings have been going down for years. I wouldn't be surprised if they just nominated him to get all the preteen girls to watch. The Grammys may have been good once, but now everything that happens is just to boost ratings.it's more of a rant than a question, but that's ok. ...... - 2009-07-04
» Using variable declared in URL?
How would I go about have a script do a couple different things based on a variable in the URL without specifying each variable within the script? ex) lyrics.php?fed=fedname would display a dir listing of everything in the "fedname" directory (preferably split into tables, but I didn't even look for that yet, so I'll try that later), and lyrics.php?fed=fedname&name=wrestlername would display the file "wrestlername" in the "fedname" directory. I don't know if this is possible at all, but I'd figure I'd ask, I looked through the php docs but didn't see anythingWhen something is passed via the querystring (?this=that), PHP automatically converts it to variables. For example, if you type "test.php?name=John", PHP would create a variable...... - 2009-07-04
» Purchase vs lease? aircraft
I would like to create a financial model on excel for purchase vs lease of an aircraft. There are 3 types of aircraft that I am looking at it the 1. Bombardier challenger 604 2. Bombardier challenger 800 3. Gulfstream The duration of the analysis should be 5 years with a discount rate of 7%. The number of flights that we are looking at is 2 to 4 per month. Please include and show all the costs that are incurred such as the pilot, crew, airport fees, fuel , parking etc. The aircraft should be for 14 to 17 passengers. ThanksWhen it comes to small aircraft and whether it makes sense to lease or buy, I am lot sure. » Any good acting books, or acting out books, a book to study your acting skills?
is there such a book? i can buy or check out at nypl? There are books which may give you an insight into the actors mind, and how to approach acting as an art form (which it is) which must be taken seriously. The best books are; Acting: The First Six Lessons - Richard Boleslavsky The Actor Prepares - Constantin Stanislavsky Building a Character - Constantin Stanislavsky Creating a Role - Constantin Stanislavsky To The Actor - Michael Chekhov However I must stress that, while these books will help as a stand alone read, they work best when read in conjunction with a acting training at a drama school. » The Japanese Malaise
Excellent article by the Swiss , March27, 2002: The Japanese Malaise The Self-Doubts of an Insecure Nation Urs Schoettli Japan's protracted economic crisis is consuming the country's substance, not only in the material sense but increasingly also emotionally. A growing number of Japanese have doubts about their nation's future. The spreading malaise threatens to obscure the true proportions of the situation and to turn the country's decline into a self-fulfilling prophecy. I make about 800-1000 a month and i have no credit. I want to buy a 3500 dollar Suzuki ninja 250R. With 20% down can i get approved. You might have a hard time getting a loan these days. It's going to be winter soon so why don't you wait till spring and you'll have plenty of money if you save 500$ a month. Plus sorry to correct you but it's a KAWASAKI Ninja 250R. It's not a Suzuki. Kawasaki might have different lease option/requirements.When looking for a Motorcycle Loan, most motorcycle buyers make the same mistake. It doesn't matter what time of year it is, whether interest rates are high or low or if its an endof year model with lots of incentives prior to the new model being released, the same mistakes ar...... - 2009-07-04

» Similarities between Jointech and Incra?
Saw a post somewhere on this bbs about router fences, and read it as I am getting ready to build a router table and want to put a nice fence system on it. A reply directed the poster to look at Jointech. Since I had never heard of them I did too. What I found was that Jointech has a lot of similarities to Incra, specifically the new Incra LS positioner. So many similarities, in fact, that I am wondering if the two companies are related or have some kind of cross-licensing agreement. Anybody know? Because I found reviews of the Jointech Lead-Screw positioner dating back to at least 1999 or 2001, and I am pretty sure the Incra LS came out last year, I'm assuming that Jointech was first with it. Am I right? Also, recommendations for ro...... - 2009-07-04
» Most complex verbs form?
Following the discussion on sareru and saseru on another thread, I was thinking what is the most complex verb forms that you have seen, overheard or just overread on news paper or tv subtitles. Learning the most complex can help uss tackle all the other easy forms, I think. What I mean by complex verb is like compound verbs with difficult conjugatation. I have not known much verbs in Japanese albeit complex one. If I would try to give example, perhaps: ζθo³ΉΔΎ³’@utoridasasete kudasaiv@to be made taking something out by someone? err... axI'd say, it will be the past negative form of causative passive form... -³ΉηκάΉρΕ΅½ :blush:causative passive potential (negative past)? hehe this is fun. and likel...... - 2009-07-04

» Why should I read the Book of Mormon to find out if there are prophets on the earth today?
If you are searching for that truth then just try reading it. Try going to mormon.org or send for their missionaries. Be sure to listen to your heart and pay attention to your feelings. That's what I did.The reason why is that when you do realize there are prophets on earth today, then like in times of old they will warn you of coming danger to your soul. You will also realize that many things that were lost because of lack of prophets were restored thereby making it at least possible to return to our father in heaven. You can always call the church & get someone to answer you. (specifically at the bottom of the hills)? cheers!RIGHT NOW! or at least within the next 6 months house prices are dropping, interest rates are dropping and first home buyers are getting a lot of assistance and incentives from the government :)Spring time usually brings out a lot of sellers in most parts of the country. More houses on the market mean more competition. Right before school starts is good too(end of summer), as people want to be in their new places so kids can got to new school. » oxygen desaturation
I had a sleep study and it showed that I had mild (10 episodes per hour) sleep apnea but my desaturation level went down into the mid thirties. I really don't have COPD that could cause this. At the time I had the sleep study, my potassium level was quite low. Could this have caused these low saturation levels? Should I take this study over? What do the people who ordered and did the study tell you? That's the best source of answers for your particular situation. The desaturation you describe is quite significant. Ask your doctor what she thinks about it. The causes for sleep apnea are several, as are the solutions. It sounds like you have reason to look into it further, with your doctors. And no, low potassium would not exp...... - 2009-07-04

So with this in mind, can anyone advise me on any other canon lenses i could buy, i would rather save money by just buying the body that way i can use the money saved in indulge myself with some sweet glass!! » Indian moviestars as Terrorists.......?
Bollywood has always been partial to the "other" side - showing the "human side " of Dacoits, Criminals, Thieves etc...and now Terrorists. Do you think that Indian superstars (who are so popular with a large number of youngsters who get impressed easily) should refuse to play roles glorifying terrorists ? e.g. Mission Kashmir, Fanaa, Fiza etc Instead, they should re-affirm that wrong is wrong and nothing can justify murder. Hmmm... This is an interesting thought. I am of the opinion that the superstars should actually refuse to do the roles of terrorists, but rogues, thieves, dacoits, etc. are humans and showing the other side of them won't really do any harm. Although it is true, that their positions shouldn't be ju...... - 2009-07-04

Then they check the dining room/resident kitchen and make sure there's enough coffee, milk, sugar, etc. Then they help serve the meals to the residents. Depending on the state you live in and the facility you may be required to thicken drinks. The facility I work at the aides thicken the drinks but other facilities in my state allow the servers to do so. On the show Fear Factor contestants were expected to eat live insects ( or animal organs) as part of their challenge. I guess my question is do some animals have more rights than others? It seems to me that we are the only species on earth, who have rights, are humans and that these rights are becoming less important as time goes on. Hi Guys, I`m just about getting fed up with the security issues with the IPB board that I think its time to change to vBulletin board. Even with the latest release, my board still gets easily hacked. Its getting to be a pain. v2.1.6 sucks, just like their previous releases and they can forget me upgrading to 2.1.7. So, is vBulletin as buggy as IPB? Thats my main concern. If it is, I`m just going to close the forum down or maybe go for something smaller like miniBB, which appears to be fine. Seems to me that the more features these boards implement, the worse they get. What do you think? Is vBulletin a hackers paradise or is it better? I have tried so many Langauge translation products: babelfish, google language tools, global-link, epromt, are just a few. They do absolutely Horrible Translations! PC magazine even wrote an article on this (2003) expressing there ill feelings on this topic.I've been told that casual/ conversational language does not work well with Machine Translation, but I talk the same in letters/e-mails as I do in Business! What is the best Language Translation Software (English-Spanish)that I can buy? Keep in mind, I can not pay $25,000, but I can pay more than $59.99. How about $200 to $300 Dollars range? » php reading and writing to binary files
I want to read and write the xmp metadata packet inside an adobe pdf file. I can successfully read out the packets with a grep pattern, but writing it back is much more complex. I have an idea of how it is done, but I'm wondering if anybody has done this. How can I use php to write a new xmp metadata packet into an adobe pdf file without corrupting the file? This is specifically about writing an xmp metadata packet inside an adobe pdf file. It seems to involve udating the "dictionary" (?) or something and whatever other requirements to prevent the file from becoming corrupted.int fwrite (int fp, string string [, int length]) fwrite() writes the contents of string to the file stream pointed to by fp. If the length argument is given, w...... - 2009-07-04
» Conflicting recommended vBulleting Server configurations?
Clarification on kier's statement regarding vBulletin recommended versions for PHP and MySQL would be helpful, as there seem to be some contradictions from other vBulletin staff. I should also take this opportunity to point out that while the ongoing vBulletin survey has revealed a very encouraging level of PHP 5 adoption, it has also highlighted a large number of customers still languishing in PHP 4 land. I recently updated the vBulletin recommended PHP and MySQL versions to PHP 5.2.5 (or later) with an opcode cache such as APC and MySQL 5.0.51 (or later). If you know that you are running an old version of PHP or MySQL you will find that vBulletin runs much better with the newer versions. Perhaps you could find time before the r...... - 2009-07-04

» what is the joke to this punch line?
someone I knew long ago used to tell a story -- others said it was an old, old joke -- about a missionary, a polynesian tribe and a flock of birds of a type called 'foo' birds. the punch line, or moral, was: "If the Foo shits, wear it." anybody know the joke?Oh, I do love jokes with dreadful punny punchlines! The "Foo Bird" joke is an old one, all right. I remember hearing it at Girl Scout Camp when I was around eleven years old, in the late 1950s. This is the way I recall it: An American missionary travels to a remote island in the South Pacific. Upon arriving, he is greeted by jubilant tribesmen and dancing hula girls, all chanting a song whose chorus contains the syllable "foo" repeated over and over. The tribal...... - 2009-07-04
» If guns are outlawed; Who will have guns?
Just criminals right? What will we do? Tell the killer "Can you wait a few minutes? I have to call the police."Your right the criminals will still have guns, but the law abiding citizen wont, this will just embolden the criminal knowing his victims are unarmed. A Little Gun History Lesson In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themse...... - 2009-07-04

i dont know.Because the distance between the top and the ending of the blog is too long.So after i saw the top , and need have at lease 2 pages to see the ending. If you are talking about a Yahoo! 360 space, then you likely have a glitch involving your personal photos module on the Top Page. While a link to your 360 space would be helpful in terms of answering this question, it sounds a like a common problem. This is a buggy module and any continual changes you make to that module is a risk. You can try adding back (or removing) an image from that module, but if it won't allow you to do that, then try to add a Yahoo! Avatar to your 360. » What are the medical conditions social security have listed for you to be disabled?
There is no such list. Disability is not primarily a medical condition. it's a social status in which a person faces discrimination because of a real or perceived impairment. People are considered disabled if our society views them as such and creates barriers to the person based on those prejudices. Generally, the Social Security Administration relies on medical or psychological professionals only to establisdh that a person has--or is perceived to have--a characteristic that reslts in their being disabled by our society, and that the person does in fact face serious limitations as a result. But there is no specific list of such disabilities. There can't be. It would make no sense, because the key defining factor is not some...... - 2009-07-04
» Finding and Removing Old Content
I'd like to invite anyone to add feedback on this one. We distribute a DVD throughout our company that contains marketing materials in the form of pdfs, word docs, and powerpoints. The problem I'm running into is finding a way to identify content that is no longer being used so I can remove it and keep all the relevant and updated content on one DVD. Unfortunately because I'll be creating DVDs I don't know of any way to use server statistics, has anyone else figured out a way to manage this? Either with Zoom or some sort of check in/check out process? Thanks for any input! -MattThe problem is that DVD are a read only media (at least for this case). » 64 and 128 bit video cards on a 32 bit OS?
im looking for a new video card, and they all say either 64 or 128 bits, my os is 32 bit so will these not work with it?Some cards are described as "64/128-bit memory interface" - that's usually when there are 2 different versions of the card...128MB or 256MB. The 128MB card uses 64-bit memory, the 256MB card uses 128-bit So YES it will work it will work. The 128 part is in MegaBits (MB) and this is totally different from the 32 Bit part which relates to your processor. The 128 MB is the amount of onboard RAM (memory) on the Video Card. The more the better! You could have 128,256 or 512MB - they all would work. The only thing you need to find out is whether your computer uses an AGP or PCI-Express slot for it to fit into. » Keeping a 19-year-old on dad's medical insurance
My medical insurance allows my daughter, now 19, to stay on as a covered dependent only if she's a fulltime student. But she needs to drop out of school in order to do residential drug-abuse therapy. I'd like to learn more about how to play the system to keep her coverage going: can she go on medical leave of absence (or some such) and have that satisfy the insurer? are there any laws preventing the insurers from cutting her off, when this is a medical necessity? does HIPAA offer me any recourse? I think that, given her medical history, it would be hard to get individual coverage for her if she loses her group coverage with me. » How much energy does the human body radiate
I am interested in learning how much energy, in wattage, is radiated from the human body, and what the various forms of that radiation are: e.g. electric, thermal, (other particles?) I have come across articles here and at other web sites on the energy of the human body but they seem to refer more to energy generating within the body, whereas I'm interested in that which is emitted from the body. I appreciate any insights on this topic. You'll find a lot of stuff by searching for: Kirlian Aura Photography. Good luck!It depends on the person, level of activity, etc. but the obvious answer is about 2200 cal. per day since that is the energy input needed to maintain the average person's weight. Maybe because you're putting you email everywhere. It has a lot to do with the websites you go to. delete your history and that helps. Never follow a spam emailβ s instructions to reply with the word "remove" or "unsubscribe" in the subject line or body of the message. This is often a ploy to get you to react to the email, which lets the spammer know that your email address is valid. » What would you do about lobe gauging in this work situation? Read more?
I was wanting to get some advice on earlobe gauging. I am up to a 6 gauge and am not sure whether I should stop at this point. I am in grad school to be a social worker/shrink so I am not one of those people who can do just anything as far as looks. I mean, I can't get tatts below my elbows or from my neck up if I want to be employable. So, I was wondering, should I stop at a 6 gauge or should I go up one more time, maybe to a 4 and then stop? I don't want to get to the point to where if/when I have to pull the earrings out that there is a huge, gaping hole that gets a bunch of attention. Ok, so in my mother's infinite wisdom, as an early christmas present my mom got me a Hasselblad 500 EL/M Camera body. I was extremely shocked when I saw it, but also extremely happy (who wouldn't be). One thing she didn't realize was the cost of lenses, film magazines, a sturdy tripod, etc. (for a good condition set-up, not including the body I could easily drop thousands) She's a crazy lady and I love her, but she basically gave me a ferrari with no engine block. So, I was looking on ebay, trying to get enough gear just to go out and start using it. The other day I got an email from a guy in Chicago who was going to start rooting for an EPL team. He's got a friend in the UK who is a Gooner but he wasn't committed. He asked me why he should be an Arsenal supporter and not ManU or Liverpool. Let's be honest, you could make a case for rooting for any of those. I told him to check out bigsoccer.com's Arsenal board. He did. He's now an Arsenal fan. The Gooners here are the funniest, smartest, best fans I've come across and this confirms that. Thanks. So, if Arsenal ever lose a close match and cause him personal heartache, we'll be held responsible? It IS good to hear we are a rather fun lot, that isn't TOO threatening.Hey. I'm in Chicago and already support Arsenal. Give me this...... - 2009-07-04

Hi all, anybody heard of Tokyo Designer's Gakuin College? I've been to the college's website, and that was about all the info I could gather. Any other sources? Like whether it's a reputable school and what design courses it's well-known for. And with a senmonshi, can you proceed to a uni after that? or if you were to work, is it even recognised? sorry for the doubts, but I would really appreciate the help, thanks! =)Tokyo Designer's Gakuin College, I heard about it, but thats all I can give you. Since it's almost spring, you should be able to apply for the 願書 from the school. No idea if they would post it to Malaysia tho. Some school would.

Please include and show all the costs that are incurred such as the pilot, crew, airport fees, fuel , parking etc. The aircraft should be for 14 to 17 passengers. is there such a book? i can buy or check out at nypl? There are books which may give you an insight into the actors mind, and how to approach acting as an art form (which it is) which must be taken seriously. The best books are; Acting: The First Six Lessons - Richard Boleslavsky The Actor Prepares - Constantin Stanislavsky Building a Character - Constantin Stanislavsky Creating a Role - Constantin Stanislavsky To The Actor - Michael Chekhov However I must stress that, while these books will help as a stand alone read, they work best when read in conjunction with a acting training at a drama school.

At the time I had the sleep study, my potassium level was quite low. Could this have caused these low saturation levels? Should I take this study over? What do the people who ordered and did the study tell you? That's the best source of answers for your particular situation. If it is, I`m just going to close the forum down or maybe go for something smaller like miniBB, which appears to be fine. Seems to me that the more features these boards implement, the worse they get. What do you think? Is vBulletin a hackers paradise or is it better? Many thanks, David.I have had vbulletin running for about 4 years on one of my anime sites. We have h...... - 2009-07-04
» My feet hurt in my ice skates really bad. What do i do?
My feet really hurt when i skate. They generally hurt on my arch's and feel numb sometimes. i have ccm vectors 6.0'sThere could be a few problems: - your skates could simply be too small, as in short. when you put your skates on give them a kick back on the heel to make sure that your foot is all the way back and feel to see if your toes are touching the end. the proper fit is that when you are sitting with no weight on your feet your toes should not me touching the end. when you are standing your toes should just be grazing the end. - also CCM skates are typically have a skinny boot on them. if you have a wide foot that's gonna cause a lot of pain. - if it's you arch that's in pain i would recommend getting...... - 2009-07-04

From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. i dont know.Because the distance between the top and the ending of the blog is too long.So after i saw the top , and need have at lease 2 pages to see the ending.
Maybe because you're putting you email everywhere. It has a lot to do with the websites you go to. delete your history and that helps.
And in that 願書 would list all the detail on the school that ...... - 2009-07-04
