Can you hem jeans with zippers?

  • i have a pair of jeans i bought and im a little short for my size. the length i need is in the middle of the zipper. is it possible to hem them myself (im not that good and idk if i need any like special skills of tools) or should i get them professionally done? i could always fold them haha....



  • My mom did a pair of pants for me when I was kid, she hemmed them and move the zipper! I can barely hem pants, so I couldn't do it.

    I think you could rip out the zipper, and leave slits instead. Rip out the zippers, hem them and finish off the edges where the zippers were.

    Any tailor could shorten them and move the zippers up like my mom did for me.
