If God is so loving, why doesn't he refund me my tithe money?

  • You are sucking air aren't you?

  • at least blame something that exists(eg. church)

besides, why would god want money???

  • The money is used to continue and spread the good works of the churches. God does actually get the money in his hand so he cant refund you. Spiritually he will refund us by giving us something better in our lives, let go so that you are given the chance.

  • Because God isn't taking tithes from you...greedy men are.

Tithes went out when Jesus began Christianity.

    Paul explains it best here:

In order to reap generously, the Corinthians had to sow generously. No suggestion of giving until it hurts was ever made. I do not mean for it to be hard on you, Paul assured them. Contributions were especially acceptable according to what a person had, not according to what a person did not have. (2 Corinthians 8:12, 13; 9:6) In a later letter, the apostle warned: If anyone does not provide for those . . . who are members of his household, he has disowned the faith and is worse than a person without faith. (1 Timothy 5:8) Paul did not encourage giving that violated this principle.

It is significant that Paul supervised a collection for the holy ones who were in need. We do not read in the Scriptures about Paul or the other apostles organizing collections or receiving tithes to finance their own ministries. (Acts 3:6) Always grateful to receive the gifts that the congregations sent him, Paul conscientiously avoided imposing an expensive burden on his brothers. 1 Thessalonians 2:9; Philippians 4:15-18.
Clearly, during the first century, followers of Christ practiced voluntary giving, not tithing

  • Because he didn't get any of it either.
It's currently paying for your pastor's flat screen TV.

  • you minister already spent it!

  • Mat.16: 26 For what is a man profited, if he shall bgain the whole world, and lose his own esoul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

  • well going by from what i get from you question it sounds like you don't tithe at all.

  • because god never got it... the church kept it for themselves

  • Maybe you should step back and think about what your saying. Is your heart in the right place?

  • God has an illegitimate son to support.

  • What goes into the church never comes out.

  • Do you expect people to give back gifts you gave them?

  • Stop thinking so much about the things of this life.

  • Because - God said the Love of money is the root of all evil ... you should thank Him for the things He has given you that are worth so much more than money. Health, Love, Life, a great country to live in, peace, food ... the list goes on and on ...

  • hahah wow ure pathetic. were supposed to give tithe from our hearts not to double our money...

  • its his money. you owe him 10% of what you have plus gift. if you think you're getting it back, that's what the problem is .if you were to give because you want to you would be surprised at what god gives to you.

  • Maybe you gave your money to the wrong God.

  • Love isnt about money

  • Refund cheques are ready. Because of funds constraint, they are getting delayed. Please bear with little inconvenience.

  • Because God let's you make your own mistakes, even though out of ignorance, seeing as God has provided you with the means of discovering His will for you, as well as the ability to discover what is true and what is false in regards to Him and everything relevant to Him.

God never required you to tithe. It is not His fault you gave your money to a church, contrary to His word.

You have no one to blame but yourself, seeing as you could easily have read the Bible and learned for yourself what you are supposed to do and not do.

  • He does, just not in ways you notice.

Tithing = brownie points in heaven. (Unless, of course, you belong to a denomination where your local spiritual leader will help you out materially if you need it--I know quite a few people who have had help from their churches, help along the lines of utility payments, grocery money, and medical help--all from tithing money.)
