  • i believe that assault rifles should be banned but i don't think anyone or any party will or have ever proposed taking guns from the citizenry. anyone tells you any different it is a bold-faced lie

    A Little Gun History Lesson

    In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

    Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

    China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

    Guatemala established gun control in 1964.. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

    Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

    Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million 'educated' people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

    Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.

    Many States need guns to protect themselves . Alaska comes to mind as they need protection from the wild animals etc....

  • the worst part is it is already happening. The govt is doing it a little bit at a time. Next is banning so called assault rifles, semi automatics included. They already taxed ammunition for all guns. If they really want to stop gun violence , use the death penalty for crimes involving guns, within one year of sentencing. NOT Life in the country club prisons with Sat T.V. , gyms, conjugal visits to make more welfare babies , etc

  • most likely, only the police, military and criminals would have guns. guns will always be available to those who can pay for them. it is imperative that our 2nd amendment rights be protected.

    If law abiding citizens are forbidden guns, a dictator will rise to complete power. this has happened before, is happening now in many countries and can happen here if we are not watchful.


  • I don't get too worked up over this issue. I'm all for gun rights just like I don't want anyone to outlaw power drills or pneumatic jacks. These are all useful tools when applied to the correct situation and nothing more.

    I do get a little upset that we have all these guns and so few dead violent criminals resulting from failed attempts to victimize armed citizens. That is something to be upset about.

    Maybe people do need to lose the right to bear arms is order to regain their balls. A razor sharp pairing knife across the throat will make a carjacker think twice just as a gun will..but first people have to possess the awareness, will and ability to apply the proper tool to the situation.


  • Anyone who doesn't think Americans can lose their right to own a firearm have not been paying attention to what has been going on around them.It is totally unreal that someone can write on this Forum that our Second Amendments Rights are not under attack from the left. (Democrats)It has been going on for over forty years that I know of.Where have they been?According to them,A normal citizen hasn't got the brains or the skill to own a gun.Then too ,All gun owners are dangerous idiots and of course, now we are bitter as well.Clinging to our guns.In Australia and Britain guns are just about totally banned.It can happen here as well.
