PS2 Online needed even if I don't play online games?

  • I just got a PS2 this past weekend, and this is my first consoles since Gamecube, and was currious about setting up the PS2 to go online.

    Is it ONLY for online gaming, or can you get updates as well? I don't play any online games so I was wondering if it is worth setting it up to go online?


  • yes it is! but i would prefer the tv as the screen is bigger


  • It is only for online gaming. The PS2 does not have a web browser, and the is nothing to update for the machine. The only way you would update anything is for the games.
