Who kidnapped her? (Nothing serious, it's for a book)?

  • Howdy y'all!

    I'm writin' a book.

It's become necessary that my 12-year-old protagonist get kidnapped after being abandoned by her aunt.

    What sounds more interesting:
The people who were supposed to kidnap her (it's a setup)
People OPPOSING the people who were supposed to kidnap her.
Or just some random dude off the streets?

  • It's your story. You have to play with it. Let your character talk to you.
Did she get kiddnapped for ransom, to live with someone, or.....really not good things i.e. slavery? Her personality and what you want to do with the book will do the explaining for you.

  • random dude.

  • How about it's a set up and things go wrong and they end up having to take a random person too. Just an idea.

Otherwise I would say RANDOM DUDE!

  • Make it an important character in the book that no one would ever except. Or throw the whole thing around and find out that she actually ran away and had the whole thing made up. That would be interesting.

  • How about she thought her aunt had abandoned her. But really - her aunt is setting up the kidnapping to take place. So she comes back - kidnaps the kid - and puts out a ransom requesting huge sums of money in exchange for the girl. The police are trying to find the kid without having to pay the aunt.

  • just some random dude off the streets

  • i dont know. but it needs to be someone she really trusts that way the reader will never see it coming!!!! hope i helped
